چکیده
Petrol directly impacts the ability of and extent to which households can engage in day-to-day activities ultimately influences aggregate economic activity. price increases lead major disruption, especially among most vulnerable, such as low-income families. In Australia, petrol prices differ substantially between metropolitan regional areas, drivers must pay more for purchasing than those capital cities. This research explored why retail vary from one city another within Australian regions. this study, clustering methods panel models will be used identify factors that cause differences. The findings revealed a considerable part differences arose specific characteristics cities influence demand supply petrol, thereby causing variations decisions. were influenced by wholesale prices, oil diesel vehicles, population density, station public transport accessibility. What drives ICT clustering in European Cities?
ICT clusters have attracted much attention because of their rapid growth and their value to other economic activities. We examine the drivers of ICT activity in 227 cities across 22 European countries. We examine the national business environment along with city-level factors to identify important factors which influence ICT clustering. We address interdependencies at different levels using a n...
متن کاملEquilibrium Price Dispersion Across and Within
We develop a search-theoretic model of the product market that generates price dispersion across and within stores. Buyers differ with respect to their ability to shop around, both at different stores and at different times. The fact that some buyers can shop from only one seller while others can shop from multiple sellers causes price dispersion across stores. The fact that the buyers who can ...

متن کاملPrice Dispersion Within and Across Stores in a Comparison site
The paper extends the information gatekeeper model of Baye and Morgan(2001) to allow for different levels of store service quality ratings, which are usually observable with the store product prices in the comparison site. The stores use mixed pricing strategies in equilibrium. In particular, higher service quality stores tend to price higher and lower service quality stores tend to price lower...
متن کاملPrice Dispersion Within and Across Retailers at a Comparison Site
Price data from comparison sites are easy to obtain from the internet, providing ample opportunities to analyze theories on price dispersion empirically. We propose a generalized analytical model that generates heterogenous mixed pricing strategies. Making seller service ratings public on comparison site leads to price di¤erence because of vertical product di¤erentiation. Furthermore, we show t...
